Annual air freight traffic of Xi’an Xianyang International Airport is expected to grow by 6,000 tonnes

Last week a new cargo flight route was launched between the northwestern Chinese city of Xi’an and Yekaterinburg, Russia. Currently, there are four flights per week all operated by the Russian airlines «Erofey».

The new freight route enables shipping products that are manufactured in southern China, including office supplies, electronic appliances, and other consumer goods. In addition, the flight route also links to major airports in Europe, allowing to bring machinery equipment and wine from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.

Xi’an Xianyang International Airport’s annual air freight traffic is expected to grow by 6,000 tonnes. At present, the airport has 36 cargo routes, 18 of which are international.
