11.11 sales set record of 71.4 billion dollars
This year’s shopping extravaganza took place in two stages: from November 1-3 and on November 11. As a result of the four-day sale, the GMV reached $ 71.4 billion and Alibaba’s logistic division Cainiao processed recording 2.32 billion orders.

This year, Alibaba DAMO showcased several AI-based advances in the technology by integrating virtual anchors in live streaming that allowed interacting with the audience 24/7. In addition, DAMO has added a real-time translation function, allowing the users to watch live streams in Chinese and get instant translation in English, Russian, Spanish or French languages.
